What is WaveRemedy?

WaveRemedy is a web app that plays sound sessions generated live in your browser. You choose a session by how you want to feel or by topic, press play, and listen.

Is this a medical treatment?

No. WaveRemedy is a listening experience. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Please read our Safety page.

Where do the sounds come from?

The session tones are generated by your browser while you listen, using the Web Audio API — we never stream pre-recorded tones. The ambient sounds are separate: white, pink and brown noise are also generated in your browser, while rain, ocean, forest, stream, fire and night are real field recordings, used under licenses that allow commercial use, hosted by us and played only when you choose them (credits are on the Ambient page).

Why is the library organised by health topics?

It makes a very large library easier to browse. The topics are our own editorial organisation — they are not part of the source data and not a medical classification. A session appearing under a topic is not a claim that it helps with that topic.

What do “Ready to play” and “Reference only” mean?

“Ready to play” means the session plays exactly as listed, with every tone generated by your browser (very low tones in some sessions may be beyond what speakers or headphones can reproduce — that is a limit of the device, and nothing is changed or left out). “Reference only” is kept in the library but not played, because playing part of it would not be the same session.

How does the free hour work?

Each account can listen for 60 minutes in total. Time is counted only while sound is actually playing, and it is tracked on our servers — so signing out, refreshing or switching device never resets it.

What happens when my free hour ends?

Playback fades out gently and we show you your options. You can still browse the library, read the Science page and manage your account. Premium unlocks listening again.

Can I listen with the screen locked or in another app?

That depends on your phone and browser. We have not tested background playback on real devices yet, so we do not promise it. Keeping the screen on is the reliable way to listen.

Which devices and browsers work?

Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on phones and computers. Headphones give the best results for stereo sessions.

How much is Premium, and can I cancel?

Premium is $7.99 a month or $49.99 a year, with identical features. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

What data do you collect? Do you sell it?

Only what the service needs: your account details, which sessions you play and for how long (to count your free hour and show your history), your favourites, and messages you send us. We do not sell data and use no advertising trackers. See our Privacy Policy.

Is there an app to download?

WaveRemedy is a web app you can install on your home screen. On Android choose “Install app” in your browser; on iPhone tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”.

Which languages are supported?

English (the default) and Persian, with a fully right-to-left layout. Switch any time with the language switch at the top of the page.

How do I delete my account?

Open Account in the app and choose “Delete account”. Your account, favourites, listening history and allowance record are removed.
