This document describes how WaveRemedy works today. It is reviewed by a legal professional before public launch.
What we collect
Account: your name, email address, a securely hashed password (we never store the password itself), your preferred language and the sign-up date.
Listening data: which sessions you play, when, and for how long. We need this to count your free hour and to show your history and favourites.
Subscription and payment records: plan, status, dates, amounts and the payment provider’s reference. You pay on the payment provider’s own secure page; we never see or store your card number.
Messages you send through the contact form: your name, email address and message.
E-mails we send you: we send only account and subscription e-mails — password reset, e-mail confirmation, subscription started or canceled, failed payment and receipts. We send no marketing e-mail.
Technical data: a session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie needed to keep you signed in and protect your account, and server logs (IP address, browser type, time) kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.
We do not collect health records, symptoms or diagnoses, and we do not ask for them.
Sensitive by nature
The sessions you choose could hint at your health interests. We treat your listening history as sensitive: it is used only to run your account, it is not shared with advertisers or analytics providers, and it is deleted when you delete your account.
How we use it
- to provide the service and count your listening allowance;
- to keep the service secure and prevent abuse;
- to answer your messages;
- to meet legal obligations.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on your listening.
- We do not use artificial intelligence on your data, and we do not profile you.
Cookies and local storage
We use only what is necessary: a session cookie (keeps you signed in), a CSRF cookie (protects forms) and a language cookie (remembers your language choice, so even an error page appears in it). Your browser’s local storage remembers player preferences such as volume and your chosen ambient sound, and stores the app files that let WaveRemedy start faster and show an offline page. None of it is used for advertising.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us run WaveRemedy (for example hosting, email delivery and payment processing) under obligations to protect it, or when the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Account in the app; your account, favourites, listening history and allowance record are then removed. Records we must keep by law (such as payment records) are kept only for as long as required.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Write to us through the contact page and we will respond.
Children
WaveRemedy is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way we will tell you in the app or by email before the change applies.
