Not medical advice or treatment
WaveRemedy is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and nothing in the product, its session names or its topics is medical advice.
Never stop, delay or change treatment because of anything you hear or read here. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
Topics named after conditions
To make a large library browsable, some topics and session names refer to health conditions (for example infections or cancer). They exist only to help you find things. Listening to a session does not treat, ease or cure the condition it is named after.
Volume and hearing
- Start with the volume low and raise it slowly.
- Never turn the volume up to hear a very quiet session. Some sessions contain tones that most speakers and headphones cannot reproduce; such a session may sound very quiet or silent on your device.
- Take regular breaks. Stop at once if you notice ear pain, ringing, dizziness or headache.
- Be careful with headphones and with children: keep the volume low and the session short.
Ask a professional first if…
Please talk to your doctor or audiologist before using any sound-based product if you:
- are pregnant or trying to become pregnant;
- use an implanted medical device such as a pacemaker or a cochlear implant;
- have a heart condition, epilepsy, a hearing condition, tinnitus or sensitivity to sound;
- are being treated for a mental-health condition.
Use it safely
- Do not listen while driving, cycling, or operating machinery, or in any situation where you need to hear your surroundings.
- Avoid falling asleep with headphones at high volume.
